Winged Spindle Tree Seed

Euonymus alatus

£4.00 inc. VAT

Winged Spindle or Euonymus alatus is a highly decorative deciduous small tree/shrub. The bark on the  trunk and all but the very youngest branches is corky with ridged wings, often in stripes. Small pale green flowers in spring turn into red/purple berries and split open to show the orange seed inside. Even if the summer hasn’t been good, the autumn colour develops into brilliant bright red.
