Latin Name: Phacelia tanacetifolia
Forestart Reference: PHATAN

An attractive, hardy annual, great for bumble and honeybees. Dig in before flowering for a green manure

Not really a native wild flower, coming originally from California, but  useful for attracting pollinators and hoverflies for aphid control in crops and as a green manure. Blue flowers up curling stems, bloom progressively. giving a long flowering period through the summer. Hairy stems and lacey leaves. Will generously seed itself. Sow from March to September for best results, and seed must be covered over with a thin soil layer or germination won't happen.
