Pure white, long-lasting flowers in July to Sept

Quite widespread in damp, shady meadows and waysides. A tolerant perennial which when established will spread by rhizome. Long lasting flowers used in arrangements, the more regularly it is cut, the better it flowers. Supposedly causes sneezing, but also yields an oil used as an insect repellent. Sow preferably in autumn, but will germinate any time.
