A great nectar source. Blue flowers in summer until autumn

A perennial for drier meadows, hedgerows and roadsides. The flowers are usually covered with bees and butterflies especially the Common Blue butterfly. Goldfiches eat the seeds before they have fully ripened. Medically used to be used against skin ulcers and sores and also to clear freckles. Also known as Pincushion, Blue Bonnets or Lady's Pincushion.

Sow in autumn or spring.
